Winter Wellness Retreat with creativity in clay
As a potter, I've come to appreciate the importance of physical touch. Working with clay reminds me how powerful touch can be, a connection that boosts our well-being, strengthens our immune system, lowers blood pressure and reduces stress. In the same way that shaping the clay can calm the mind, practices like yoga, meditation, breath work, massage and art allow us to explore the healing power of touch. With the festive season bringing its usual craziness, taking a day for mindful self-care feels like the perfect preparation.
This is why I've teamed up with Betsy from Yoga with Betsy.
Together we are running a Winter Wellness Day which will include mindful yoga, face yoga (I'm looking forward to that one) healing touch yoga, meditation and breath work. Once we've found our zen, and after a healthy lunch, we will unleash our creativity and get to grips with the clay.
A Tactile sensory Experience
The simple pleasure of moulding clay can be incredibly therapeutic, allowing you to temporarily disconnect and find yourself.
